The first convention (sammelan) was organised on August 12,2012 to ignite the years old dream to organize and unite Shakdwipiya Brahmans. Though Not too grand due to its unpredictable success, after effects and results, it proved an excellent start, not only because of its satisfactory gatherings but also because now we know that our present achievements are only due to that 'Shubharambh'.
The very special things that we came to know that day were that Shakdwipiya Brahmans have a glorious past and also find high description in a number of our Hindu religious books and even have also been praised by several hermits (Maharshis) and even gods e.g. Lord Krishna.All this from the very learned Dr. Ram Narayan Acharya. And also that we even have a glorious presence as many of our Shakdwipiya brothers and sisters occupy respectable and key posts in various discipilne of professions and society,contributing a considerable part in the development of society and nation as a whole.
